Franco Baldini leaves Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur announce that technical director Franco Baldini has left the club.

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that technical director Franco Baldini has left the club by mutual consent.

The 54-year-old joined the North Londoners in June 2013 from Roma, where he was general director.

Baldini was also a director at Real Madrid before becoming England assistant manager under Fabio Capello between 2007 and 2011.

"We can confirm that Franco Baldini has left the club by mutual consent," a statement on Tottenham's official website read.

"He leaves us now to spend time outside of club football. We wish him all the best for the future."

It had been reported last month that the Italian could leave White Hart Lane to pave the way for Paul Mitchell to be appointed Tottenham's new head of recruitment.
