William Gallas eager for injured players to return

William Gallas says that Tottenham Hotspur can reach a new level when a number of players return from injury.

Tottenham Hotspur defender William Gallas believes that his side can get even better when several key players return from injury.

Jan Vertonghen scored the only goal of the game as Spurs beat Swansea City 1-0 at White Hart Lane on Sunday in the Premier League.

Scott Parker, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Gareth Bale were all missing from the match, and Gallas insists that their returns will improve the team.

"We have to go to a different level now because we have a big squad and players are coming back from injury," Gallas told talkSPORT.

"Next week we have to play against Stoke and we know that they've got strong boys so it's one game which will be very difficult. We've got the quality. We can play football and we're playing at home so we have no excuses to lose that game."

Spurs currently sit fourth in the Premier League table.
