Lewis Holtby delighted with Tottenham Hotspur start

Lewis Holtby has expressed delight with his start to life in the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Germany international made the move to White Hart Lane from Schalke in January.

The 22-year-old described the early stages of his career at Spurs as "really enjoyable", but admitted that he is hoping the side will improve next season.

"Everything I hoped for has come true. I had a really enjoyable second half of the season here," Holtby told the club's official website.

"The time flew by. It really has been an unbelievable spell, the atmosphere at the Lane is fantastic and it's been a great experience for me.

"I really enjoyed playing with the lads. There is so much quality here and it's a fight for places because the whole squad is so competitive. It's so enjoyable playing football with these guys. We had a great season and we'll improve."

Holtby made 17 appearances in all competitions for Spurs last season.
