Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane insists that he was the scorer of Spurs' second goal in their 2-1 defeat of Stoke City.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has insisted that he was the scorer of Spurs' second goal in their 2-1 victory over Stoke City on Saturday.

Christian Eriksen, who netted the team's first goal, whipped in a free kick from distance which ended up beating Potters goalkeeper Jack Butland, with Kane and his Danish teammate contesting the goal following the game.

"It's my goal for sure. It flicked off my shoulder and went in. I swear that's mine," the striker told Sky Sports News. "It was just off my shoulder. I don't care, it's my goal."

"I don't know [who scored]," Eriksen added. "[Kane] celebrated like it was his goal so I expect he touched it. I'll take the assist. That's fine.

"Of course [you have to take his word for it], but on the camera we will see if it's true or not. I think it is."

Tottenham's win saw them move level on points with Liverpool in the Premier League table, after Jurgen Klopp's team drew with Everton earlier in the day.
