Tottenham Hotspur duo Harry Kane and Son Heung-min have equalled a Premier League record set by Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard during Saturday's pulsating 3-2 win over Manchester City.
Antonio Conte's side had lost three on the bounce in the top flight before travelling to the home of the champions but stunned the Etihad crowd into silence, with Son bagging two assists while Kane scored twice.
The two attackers developed a clinical partnership for Spurs in the 2020-21 season, and Son once again set up his counterpart on Saturday, with his cross finding Kane's boot for Tottenham's second on the night.
In doing so, Son and Kane combined for a 36th goal in the Premier League, equalling the record set by Lampard and Drogba during their Chelsea careers.
Kane has also ended a barren run of nine games without a goal against Pep Guardiola's men stretching back to 2016, barely a day after the City boss revealed that his side saw four bids for the England captain rejected over the summer.
Tottenham have risen above Wolverhampton Wanderers into seventh in the table following Saturday's win - three points adrift of North London rivals Arsenal.
