Robbie Keane backs Spurs for title

Robbie Keane says that Spurs should erect a statue of Harry Redknapp if he guides them to the Premier League title.

Robbie Keane has said that Tottenham Hotspur can win the Premier League title, and believes that the club should commission a statue of Harry Redknapp if he can pull it off.

Keane signed a seven-week loan deal with Aston Villa this week from MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy.

When asked if his former club should erect a tribute to Redknapp if they win the league, Keane said: "I am sure they will, definitely. It would be nice to see.

"He has had the players there for a couple of years and you can see them gelling together.

"They are certainly going to be up there with the title contenders, no question."

Tottenham are currently third in the Premier League, level on points with second-placed Manchester United and three points off leaders Manchester City.
