Jurgen Klinsmann ignores Spurs link

Klinsmann "very happy" coaching USA

Jurgen Klinsmann has refused to comment on speculation that has linked him with the manager's job at Tottenham Hotspur.

With Harry Redknapp the overwhelming favourite to become the new coach of England, there is soon expected to be a vacancy at White Hart Lane.

Reports have suggested that Klinsmann is a contender for the Spurs job should it become available, having had two playing spells with the club.

However, Klinsmann has insisted that he is fully focused on his responsibility with the American national team.

"I'm very happy in my role as USA manager and busy preparing for the start of World Cup qualifying this summer," Klinsmann said when asked about the Spurs link.

The German was appointed USA coach in July 2011.
