Spurs midfielder Niko Kranjcar hints at a possible summer move to an Eastern European club.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Niko Kranjcar has hinted that he could leave the club this summer in order to join an Eastern European side.

Kranjcar has found his first-team opportunities at White Hart Lane limited this season due to injuries and fierce competition for places from the likes of Scott Parker, Luka Modric and Sandro.

The 27-year-old has a year left on his contract, but admits that he could be interested in a move to Eastern Europe, providing the money is good.

"Yes, why not?" he told Index. "But conditions would have to be good. I'm a realist. In Russia or Ukraine you can play good football and earn a lot of money.

"Whether you agree with me or not, it's important how much you earn in your career.

"Times have changed, the East is becoming better and better. It's not like 10 years ago. Clubs from Ukraine and Russia regularly play in the Champions League and Europa League."

Kranjcar joined Spurs from Portsmouth in 2009.
