Kyle Naughton has admitted that he is delighted to have seized his chance in the Tottenham Hotspur first team.
The 24-year-old defender has made 15 appearances in all competitions this season following a knee injury to teammate Benoit Assou-Ekotto.
"I have had to be patient here at Spurs," Naughton told the club's official website.
"It's taken a few years to get a run in the side, but the gaffer seems to like the way I play, he's giving me a chance and it's up to me now to take it.
"I've been pleased with my performances but the main thing for me is that the team got the points over the busy festive period."
Tottenham travel to strugglers Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League on Saturday.
