Tottenham Hotspur full-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto will not face any punishment for last night's challenge of Franco Di Santo.

Benoit Assou-Ekotto will not face any action from the Football Association for a challenge that he made on Wigan Athletic striker Franco Di Santo last night.

The Tottenham Hotspur defender went over the top of the ball before his studs made contact with Di Santo's shin.

Di Santo suffered a large cut in the incident and was unable to continue.

However, the FA have confirmed that referee Lee Probert saw the tackle at White Hart Lane and therefore no further action will be taken.
