Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino reportedly met with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez during The Best FIFA awards in London earlier this week.
Pochettino was linked with the Madrid post following Zinedine Zidane's surprise resignation during the summer, only for Los Blancos to instead appoint Spain boss Julen Lopetegui on the eve of the World Cup.
However, the Spurs manager is still understood to be on Los Blancos' radar as a possible future manager, despite recently signing a new contract in North London.
Marca reports that Pochettino and Perez had a 'friendly meeting' at Monday's event, which saw Real Madrid's Luka Modric and Thibaut Courtois both scoop major individual honours.
Madrid also boasted four players in the FIFPRO World XI, with Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane and Marcelo joining Modric in the team.
