Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino to consider resting players for West Ham trip

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino suggests that he will rest players for Wednesday's Premier League match against West Ham United.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that he may consider resting players for Wednesday's Premier League match against West Ham United at Upton Park.

The North London outfit's title bid strengthened on Sunday when the team came from behind to seal a 2-1 victory over Swansea City at White Hart Lane.

Spurs' star striker Harry Kane wore a face mask after breaking his nose, while Dele Alli suffered an injury scare when he hurt his ankle after kicking the ground during yesterday's warm-up.

Pochettino has suggested that he will tinker with his team for the mid-week game, which will be their second match in in six days.

"It's easier to prepare for the West Ham game after this victory," The Independent quotes Pochettino as saying. "[The players] are happy, they smile, it is always a better mood to recover.

"It is an exciting moment for us but some players we need to manage because some feel a little bit tired. We came from a very tough period."

Tottenham, who will face North London rivals Arsenal at the weekend, are two points behind league leaders Leicester City.
