Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has hailed Newcastle United's season after the Magpies seized the initiative in the race for Champions League football.
A 3-0 win against Stoke City has seen the fourth-placed Magpies move three points above Spurs following their 1-0 loss at Queens Park Rangers.
"What Alan has done there is fantastic, it's a miracle really. To get them in the position they're in has been a great achievement," said Redknapp.
"They can relax and play. No-one expected them to be anywhere near where they are. You have to give them credit for what they have done.
"They do look good at the moment. They have three fantastic forwards and they are playing very well."
Newcastle travel to Wigan Athletic next weekend, while Spurs play host to Blackburn Rovers.
