Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood is reportedly under pressure to field Erik Lamela in the coming weeks, despite recently ruling the forward out for the campaign.
Sherwood claimed last week that the £30m summer signing was "probably not going to play again this season", but chairman Daniel Levy is said to be desperate to see the Argentine succeed at White Hart Lane.
Following extensive injury problems, Lamela is set for a return to full training and there is a desire within the club for him to be handed a boost before the campaign ends, according to The Telegraph.
The same report suggests that Sherwood may not carry out the club's wishes to give the former Roma player game time, resigned to the fact that he will likely be replaced at the helm during the summer.
