Tottenham Hotspur to offer Harry Redknapp new deal

Tottenham Hotspur are to offer manager Harry Redknapp a new deal, according to The Mirror.

The 64-year-old, who recently underwent minor heart surgery, has 18 months left on his current deal.

It is thought that an extension would deter the Football Association from approaching Redknapp to become the next England manager.

The former Portsmouth boss is the favourite to take over from Fabio Capello when he steps down after Euro 2012.
