Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rafael van der Vaart hopes that he can return from his hamstring injury in "one to two weeks".
The Dutch international tore the muscle during Spurs' 5-1 home defeat to Manchester City last weekend and had been ruled out for at least six weeks.
However, the 28-year-old believes that he could be back playing a lot sooner than that.
"It feels okay now," Van der Vaart told De Telegraaf. "I hope in one to two weeks to make my comeback.
"The past has proven that I can quickly recover from such an injury."
Van der Vaart will not recover in time for Spurs' next match away to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, September 10.
