Jan Vertonghen wants Tottenham Hotspur response

Jan Vertonghen wants Tottenham Hotspur to return to winning ways when they host Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.

Jan Vertonghen has urged his Tottenham Hotspur teammates to get back to winning ways on Sunday when they host Everton in the Premier League.

Spurs have failed to win their last two games in the top flight, the most recent being a 1-1 draw at Hull City last weekend.

"We wanted to [beat Hull] and it's a shame we couldn't score again and come back with the three points," the Belgian told the club's official website.

"We have to bounce back next week in an important game against Everton. We have to be ready for that."

Vertonghen made his return from injury against Hull following nearly two months out with an ankle problem.
