Walker: 'Bad games get to me'

Kyle Walker has revealed that he gets frustrated if he has a bad game.

The defender, who missed England's recently friendlies through injury, made more appearances for Tottenham Hotspur than any other player last season.

The 23-year-old told the club's official website: "If I've had a bad game, I'm straight home and it gets to me. I shouldn't let that happen but I'm passionate and want to win things. I want to play to the best of my ability and anything below means that I'm not happy.

"I set myself high standards last season and I'm pleased I did, but once you set those standards, if you then fall below them people start to get on your back a little. But I'm the first to have a word with myself and say I 'could do better'.

"I've played 100 games in two seasons, that's a lot of games, and it took a while to get in the team. I was patient, got my chance last season and I have to keep doing the things that got me a chance in the first place. I want to win things here."

Walker joined Tottenham from Sheffield United in 2009.
