The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Tottenham Hotspur eye possible reinforcements.
Spurs were among the biggest spenders during the January transfer window but are expected to be active again in the summer as Jose Mourinho continues to mould his squad.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Wednesday morning's Tottenham Hotspur transfer talk news roundup:
Manchester United 'to trigger Jesse Lingard extension'
Manchester United are reportedly prepared to extend the contract of midfielder Jesse Lingard.
With less than a year remaining on his existing deal, United are said to be open to offers for the England international.
Tottenham Hotspur, managed by former United boss Jose Mourinho, are allegedly interested in securing a deal for the 27-year-old.
However, The Sun says that club officials are now willing to trigger an option in Lingard's contract which would see him tied to Old Trafford until 2022.
That would allow United to avoid cashing in on the academy graduate for a cut-price fee, effectively forcing Spurs to pay more money if they wish to sign the playmaker.
Lingard was absent from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's 18-man squad as United lost out to Crystal Palace at the weekend.
Tottenham Hotspur 'will not let Dele Alli leave on the cheap'
Tottenham Hotspur reportedly have little intention of parting ways with Dele Alli on a permanent deal during the summer transfer window.
Having missed out on inclusion in the squads for the games against Lokomotiv Plovdiv and Southampton, the England international is now being linked with an exit from the North London outfit.
Paris Saint-Germain are said to be the favourites to sign the 24-year-old, providing that they can raise funds from player sales.
However, the Daily Mail claims that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is in no rush to allow the playmaker to depart the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Due to the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic, the report suggests that Levy would prefer to negotiate a season-long loan deal.
Alli still has four years remaining on his contract, putting no pressure on a cut-price deal needing to be agreed with any interested club.
