Team News: Emmanuel Adebayor, Roberto Soldado lead Tottenham Hotspur attack

Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood pairs Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado in attack for the visit of Cardiff City this afternoon.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood has paired Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado in attack for the visit of Cardiff City this afternoon.

The duo partnered each other in Spurs' 3-1 victory over Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in the Europa League on Thursday, and Sherwood has opted for the same striking axis in the Premier League today.

Defender Zeki Fryers retains his place from midweek to earn his second Premier League start for the North London giants.

Aaron Lennon and Paulinho come in for Christian Eriksen and Sandro respectively as Sherwood's only two changes from midweek.

Meanwhile, City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer makes no fewer than seven changes from the 4-0 home defeat to Hull City last time out.

Wilfried Zaha and Kenwyne Jones are among those who drop out of the lineup, while Craig Bellamy and Declan John come into the fold.

Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris; Naughton, Dawson, Vertonghen, Fryers; Lennon, Dembele, Paulinho, Townsend; Adebayor, Soldado

Cardiff City: Marshall; Caulker, Turner, Medel, Fabio; Kim, Cala, John, Gunnarsson; Bellamy, Campbell
