Team News: Enner Valencia on bench for West Ham United

West Ham United's Enner Valencia, who starred for Ecuador at this summer's World Cup, is on the bench for today's Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has given debuts to summer signings Cheikhou Kouyate and Aaron Cresswell in today's opening Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Upton Park this afternoon.

However, fellow new arrival Enner Valencia, who played for Ecuador at the World Cup, is short of fitness and has to make do with a place on the bench for the 142nd derby between the two sides.

New Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino gives defender Eric Dier, an England youth international, his competitive debut following his summer arrival from Sporting Lisbon, while Emmanuel Adebayor starts in attack.

Younes Kaboul will captain Spurs this afternoon as he makes his 100th Premier League appearance for the North London outfit.
