Andros Townsend: "I wouldn't consider another loan"

Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend insists that his days of going out on loan are over.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend has insisted that his days of going out on loan are over.

The 22-year-old has spent brief spells at QPR, Birmingham, Leeds, Millwall, Watford, Ipswich, MK Dons, Leyton Orient and Yeovil since 2009.

However, he says that he is now ready to stay at White Hart Lane and compete for a regular place in Andre Villas-Boas's first-team.

"I have been at this club since I was eight and I am a Tottenham fan, so my main objective is to try and force my way into the team," Townsend told the Daily Star.

"I know it is difficult. We have got fantastic, world-class players. But my mind is just focused on trying to score goals and play like I did against Dinamo.

"Would I consider another loan? For me, no. I am 22 - I need to focus and try and make the grade at Tottenham. I wouldn't consider another loan deal."

Townsend has yet to start a Premier League game for Spurs, with all five of his top-flight appearances for the Lilywhites coming as a substitute.
