Demba Ba rules out Premier League return

Reported Newcastle and Spurs target Demba Ba insists that he made the right decision in joining Besiktas and rules out a return to the Premier League in January.

Besiktas striker Demba Ba has insisted that he has no interest in a switch back to the Premier League in January.

The Senegalese has scored 10 goals in 14 matches since joining the Turkish outfit from Chelsea in the summer.

Former clubs Newcastle United and West Ham United are reportedly keen to re-sign him in the next transfer window, but Ba has stressed that he is having no second thoughts about his Besiktas move.

On Turkish-football.com, he said: "I want to thank those who made offers but I am not moving to England or another country, my main focus is Besiktas.

"Players get offers and enquiries from time to time but all I am focused on is winning the league, cup and making the Europa League final. That is all I am thinking about.

"I have been blown away by the support of the fans, I am really happy here and feel I made the right decision coming to Istanbul."

Tottenham Hotspur are also thought to be monitoring the availability of the 29-year-old forward.
