John Bostock has insisted that he is "hungrier than ever to succeed" after being released by Tottenham Hotspur last week.
The 21-year-old, who joined the Premier League club from Crystal Palace in 2008, was regarded as one of the best young talents in English football.
However, after loan spells at five different clubs, he has been released by Spurs without making a single league appearance.
"My time at Spurs has come to an end, I want to say thank you to the club's staff, players and fans for all the support for the last five years. It has been a challenging yet great experience I've had some good memories and met some amazing people. It's been an honour and privilege," he tweeted.
"Now I'm in a new season in my career I'm hungrier than ever to succeed and excited about what lies ahead. One door closes. Another door opens."
Bostock is expected to remain in England.
