Everton reach an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for the transfer of Dele Alli, according to a report.

Everton have reportedly reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for the transfer of Dele Alli.

The 25-year-old has struggled to make his mark for Spurs during the 2021-22 campaign, contributing just two goals and one assist in 18 appearances in all competitions.

A number of clubs have been credited with an interest in the Englishman, but Everton quickly emerged as the favourites to sign him on a permanent basis.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Toffees have now agreed a deal with Tottenham for the signing of the former MK Dons youngster, who is heading to Merseyside for a medical.

Romano claims that new Everton boss Frank Lampard made Alli a priority after securing a loan deal for Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek.

Meanwhile, The Telegraph journalist Matt Law says that the attacker will arrive on an initial free transfer, with Everton obliged to pay £10m once he has played 20 matches.

Alli will leave Tottenham having scored 67 goals and registered 61 assists in 269 appearances for the North London outfit, including 51 goals and 37 assists in 181 Premier League outings.
