German club Hoffenheim are close to sealing the loan signing of Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes.
The 31-year-old has not featured for Spurs since November 2011 and it appears that he has been granted permission to discuss a move with Hoffenheim.
The Brazilian stopper had been in talks to return to his homeland to sign for Palmeiras but it now looks likely that he will move to Germany until the end of the season.
Gomes is one of a number of players that Spurs are reportedly keen to get off their wage bill, with David Bentley and Jermaine Jenas attracting interest from Queens Park Rangers.
