Paul Miller: 'Gareth Bale is not ready to abandon Tottenham Hotspur'

Paul Miller is adamant that Gareth Bale has no intentions of leaving Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Paul Miller is adamant that Gareth Bale will remain at White Hart Lane, despite questions over the Welshman's future.

The 23-year-old, who scored in yesterday's 2-1 win over Arsenal, has been heavily linked with a big-money move to Real Madrid in the summer.

"Gareth Bale is not going anywhere," Miller told talkSPORT. "He is 23 years old, his girlfriend just had a baby four months ago, he's settled, he's a young man just starting to play well, and he's got three-and-a-half years on his contract.

"He is not ready to go abroad yet. He has another couple of years at Tottenham to cement his reputation. He's getting everything he wants at Spurs. He is well paid and he has got a chance at winning things."

Meanwhile, Spurs are currently third in the Premier League table.
