Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luka Modric is said to be considering handing in a second transfer request to the club.
The 26-year-old told White Hart Lane bosses last summer that he wanted a move to London rivals Chelsea, but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy held firm and rejected a reported £40m bid from the Blues.
Spurs offered Modric an improved contract earlier this season but the player has yet to sign it and hinted earlier this week that he will consider his future following Croatia's Euro 2012 campaign.
Real Madrid have been linked with an interest in Modric and the La Liga champions' attention - coupled with Spurs' failure to qualify for next season's Champions League - is likely to persuade him to ask for summer move away from Tottenham, according to The Mirror.
Modric joined Spurs for £16.6m from Dynamo Zagreb in 2008 and has made 127 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring 13 goals.
