Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to block any potential departure for defender Japhet Tanganga in this summer's transfer window.
The 22-year-old was set to leave the north London club on loan to gain more regular first-team experience, and had been linked with a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray.
However, according to Football Insider, Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo has told the club's hierarchy that he would like Tanganga to stay and be a key member of the first-team squad.
The defender was handed a start at right-back in Tottenham's 1-0 victory against Premier League champions Manchester City on the opening weekend of the new season, and he responded with a man-of-the-match display.
Tanganga, who can also play at centre-back, is set to compete with Matt Doherty and Serge Aurier for a place in the starting lineup.
The England Under-21 international has made 25 senior appearances for Spurs since debuting in September 2019.
