Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino quiet on Christian Eriksen contract talk

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino refuses to comment on reports suggesting that Christian Eriksen is close to signing a three-year contract extension.

Mauricio Pochettino has refused to comment on speculation suggesting that Christian Eriksen will soon sign a new three-year contract extension with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Danish playmaker's current deal runs until the end of the 2017-18 season, but recent reports have claimed that Eriksen will put pen to paper on a new contract to keep him at the club until 2021.

When asked whether Eriksen would be committing his future at White Hart Lane, Pochettino told reporters: "They are just rumours. My policy is not to talk about this."

This season Eriksen has scored six goals in 30 appearances for Spurs, who are second in the Premier League and could close in on top spot if they win at fellow top-four side Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
