Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino reportedly wants to make a £150m overhaul of his first-team squad in an attempt to help the club compete for trophies.

Boss Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly indicated that he would like to make significant changes to his Tottenham Hotspur squad.

Spurs have secured qualification for the Champions League for the third successive year, but a last-16 exit in Europe and another semi-final defeat in the FA Cup left Spurs without a trophy for a 10th successive campaign.

According to The Telegraph, it has resulted in Pochettino asking for the freedom to make alterations over the summer, with the Argentine allegedly wanting to go through with a £150m overhaul of his squad.

Pochettino would also like to secure the futures of a number of his star men, with the likes of Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Harry Kane all expected to be offered new contracts this summer.

Spurs could potentially be restricted in the transfer market due to the costs of their new stadium, but Pochettino is said to be prepared to sell players in order to raise extra funds.

Pochettino has just over three years remaining on his contract, but chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly keen for the club's manager to pen fresh terms.
