Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing a January move for Tottenham Hotspur attacker Christian Eriksen.
Los Blancos were strongly linked with a swoop for the Denmark international during the summer transfer window, but a proposed move for the playmaker did not come to fruition.
Spurs are said to be prepared to hand the 27-year-old a new £230,000-a-week contract at the club, although Eriksen is allegedly holding out for a switch to the Bernabeu at the start of 2020.
According to Marca, Madrid are keen on a January deal for the former Ajax playmaker as head coach Zinedine Zidane looks to improve his options in a central position.
However, it is unclear whether the Spanish giants would attempt to secure a pre-contract agreement for Eriksen to arrive on a free next summer or look to agree a cut-price fee with Tottenham in order to sign him in the next transfer window.
Eriksen, who has also been linked with a switch to Manchester United, has scored once in five Premier League appearances for Mauricio Pochettino's side this season.
