QPR boss Harry Redknapp rejects interest in Emmanuel Adebayor, Pablo Osvaldo

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp rejects rumours that the club are interested in signing Emmanuel Adebayor and Pablo Osvaldo.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has batted away suggestions that the club are interested in signing Emmanuel Adebayor and Pablo Osvaldo before Monday's 11pm transfer deadline.

Adebayor has been linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur, with Paris Saint-Germain believed to be keen on sealing a loan deal for the remainder of the season.

With regards to Southampton's Osvaldo, the controversial striker comes to the end of his loan stint at Inter Milan when the season comes to a close in May.

When asked about Adebayor in this morning's press conference, Redknapp said: "I don't see that happening. He's an excellent player. You don't play for Arsenal, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Tottenham if you're not.

"I wouldn't see him leaving Tottenham - it's too expensive a deal for us. We're looking for loans. I don't know if he is available on loan."

When probed on Osvaldo, Redknapp added: "No. Nothing there. That's not because of the baggage of his history at Southampton - he's a good player. We couldn't afford him basically. He's on big, big wages. I think there are options in Italy for him."

Redknapp has also admitted that the club are "struggling" to sign new players in this window.
