Besiktas have reportedly approached Tottenham Hotspur about a deal for Younes Kaboul.
The French central defender was named club captain when Mauricio Pochettino arrived at White Hart Lane, but he has fallen out of favour recently, with Jan Vertonghen and Federico Fazio building a partnership at the back.
It has been suggested that Spurs are looking to sell a number of fringe players in the transfer window as they make room for potential new recruits in the summer.
According to the Daily Mail, Besiktas are leading the race for Kaboul, who joined Spurs for a second time in January 2010.
The report claims that Besiktas could face competition from Everton as Roberto Martinez looks to improve his defensive options following their recent struggles.
