Tottenham Hotspur and Espanyol are reportedly locked in negotiations for Spanish goalkeeper Pau Lopez.
It is understood that Spurs want to take the 21-year-old, who came through the youth system at Espanyol, on loan with the view to making the move permanent at the end of the season.
According to Marca, Espanyol have already rejected an offer from Spurs, but negotiations will continue in the latter stages of the transfer window as the Premier League club look to bring in the highly-rated young goalkeeper.
Lopez was called into the senior Spain squad for their pre-Euro 2016 friendly against Bosnia-Herzegovina in May, but the Girona-born stopper did not make Vicente del Bosque's squad for the championships.
Spurs will be without first-choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris for the next month due to a hamstring problem.
