Tottenham Hotspur are apparently confident of finally landing long-term strike target Leandro Damiao after recommencing discussions with his club Internacional.
The Brazilian forward has been tracked by Spurs over the past three transfer windows and came close to moving to White Hart Lane in January, but Lillywhites chairman Daniel Levy could not agree a fee.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Levy is currently negotiating an £18m move for the 23-year-old, who is understood to also be a target of Atletico Madrid and Marseille.
Spurs are hoping that Leandro will be joined at the club by David Villa in a new-look attacking unit that will not include the surplus-to-requirements Emmanuel Adebayor.
Leandro has netted three times in 16 full international appearances for Brazil and was the top scorer at last summer's Olympic Games in London.
