Roma have reportedly abandoned their attempts to sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Younes Kaboul.
It was claimed that the Serie A club were interested in the Frenchman, who has been repeatedly linked with a move away from White Hart Lane after falling down the pecking order this season.
Spurs are believed to be willing to allow either Kaboul or Vlad Chiriches to leave on deadline day, but it now appears that neither will be moving to the Italian capital.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Roma have turned their attention to Catania defender Nicolas Spolli, who is now expected to sign a deal with the Giallorossi.
Reports have also suggested that West Ham United are hoping to sign Kaboul for £2.5m.
