Sevilla rule out Giovani Dos Santos move

Sevilla no longer want to sign Giovani Dos Santos from Tottenham.

Spanish side Sevilla have ruled out making a move for Tottenham Hotspur's Giovani Dos Santos.

The La Liga side made a summer bid for the Mexican international but their approach was turned down.

Dos Santos was understood to be keen on a move but Sevilla have ruled out making a second approach for the 22-year-old.

"He is now not a target for us because his price is greater than the market value," Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido told the SVFC website.

"It is true that the coach has demanded this footballer but now we are searching for a different type of player."

Dos Santos joined Tottenham from Barcelona in 2008, but has been loaned out to Ipswich, Galatasary and Racing Santander in recent seasons.

Sevilla have been linked with signing Marouane Chamakh from Tottenham's North London rivals Arsenal recently.
