Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly one of four Premier League clubs interested in signing Ajax midfielder Kenneth Taylor.
Spurs are keen to strengthen their squad in January, and recruiting a new midfielder appears to be one of their top priorities.
Ange Postecoglou's first-choice central midfield pairing of Pape Sarr and Yves Bissouma are expected to head off to the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
Meanwhile, Rodrigo Bentancur is expected to be out of action for a couple of months after he sustained an ankle injury in last Sunday's defeat to Aston Villa.
Those international call-ups and Bentancur's injury will lead Spurs to reinforce the middle of the park in the January transfer window.

According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham are one of four Premier League clubs that are showing an interest in signing Taylor from Dutch giants Ajax.
The report claims that the North London club could face competition from Aston Villa, Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United.
While the Villans are determined to keep hold of Douglas Luiz, they are seemingly keeping their options open due to uncertainty surrounding the player's future.
Brighton have a number of central midfield options, but could potentially look to add further strength-in-depth to help their squad balance domestic football with their Europa League campaign.
Meanwhile, Newcastle may decide to bolster their engine room following a number of injuries and Sandro Tonali's 10-month gambling ban.

Although are number of clubs are considering moves for Taylor, he is reluctant to leave the Dutch club during the middle of a difficult season.
Ajax are currently sitting in 11th place in the Eredivisie table after picking up just 15 points from 12 matches.
The 21-year-old has been a regular fixture in the Ajax side this season, registering two goals and two assists in 19 competitive games.
Taylor, who is under contract until June 2027, has made a total of 85 senior appearances for the club, contributing 13 goals and 11 assists.
