Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are battling each other to land Barcelona youngster Gerard Deulofeu on loan.

Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are reported rivals in the race to capture Barcelona starlet Gerard Deulofeu on a loan deal.

The 19-year-old, who is currently on duty with Spain at the Under-20 World Cup in Turkey, is a rising star in Catalonia, but is said to be keen on acquiring first-team experience before trying to break into the Blaugrana senior squad.

According to The Mirror, the Premier League duo have expressed their interest in a loan move for the forward, who is believed to be interested in linking up fellow Spaniard Roberto Martinez at Goodison Park.

Deulofeu scored 18 goals for Barcelona B in the Segunda Division last season.
