Inter Milan have reportedly been successful with a €20m (£16.82m) offer for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen.
Throughout the January transfer window, Inter have not been willing to meet the demands of Spurs, despite the Premier League side being wary of losing the playmaker on a free transfer at the end of the season.
However, according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Inter have now reached an agreement with the North London outfit ahead of a transfer being completed before the end of the week.
Schira claims that the Serie A title challengers will pay €15m (£12.61m) up front, with a further €5m (£4.2m) being paid in add-ons during his four-and-a-half year contract.
FCInterNews adds that the Denmark international is expected to be unveiled before Sunday's fixture with Cagliari.
Should a deal be finalised, Eriksen will leave Spurs having contributed 69 goals from 306 appearances in all competitions since August 2013.
