Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly monitoring Matt Doherty's contract talks with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Republic of Ireland international has turned heads with his displays for Wolves since helping the club to promotion from the Championship last season.
Wanderers plan to reward the 26-year-old with a new deal in the region of £40,000 a week, doubling his current wages, but The Independent suggests that Spurs could pounce if negotiations are unsuccessful.
Doherty is said to be happy at Molineux, however, and he appears ready to become the first Irish client of super agent Jorge Mendes, who has a heavy influence at Wolves.
Bohemians youth product Doherty has started all 21 of Wolves' top-flight matches this term, scoring three times from his wing-back position and setting up four more.
