Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to move for FC Koln defender Kevin Wimmer in the summer summer.
The Lilywhites were linked with a bid for Athletic Bilbao youngster Aymeric Laporte, but The People claims that his £30m valuation has led to the club eyeing alternative targets.
Wimmer is thought to have been sounded out about a possible move last week, with Spurs centre-backs Younes Kaboul and Vlad Chiriches set for the White Hart Lane exit door at the end of the season.
The Austrian is now seen as the preferred option for Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino as he looks to reshuffle his defensive options.
Spurs beat local rivals Arsenal 2-1 on Saturday, with Harry Kane scoring twice.
