Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Venezuela Under-20 star Yeferson Soteldo as a potential transfer target.
Soteldo played a leading role as Venezuela reached the final of the Under-20 World Cup, and his form has seemingly not gone unnoticed by one of the top clubs in Europe.
According to Don Balon, Spurs are ready to pay £16m to Soteldo's club Huachipato in order to secure his services for the 2018-19 campaign.
The 20-year-old has only made eight appearances for his current club, leaving Mauricio Pochettino happy to allow him to spend another year back in South America.
It has also been suggested that Watford are in the running for his signature, and they may hold a trump card in the race for the playmaker.
Soteldo's international teammate Adalberto Penaranda is contracted to the Hornets and could potentially be able to tempt shim into a move to Vicarage Road.
