Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly moved a step closer to winning the race for Colombian winger Jeison Lucumi.
The speculation surrounding the 20-year-old's future grew quickly after he led Colombia to the runners-up spot in the South American Youth Championship with four goals in the tournament.
According to the Daily Mail, PSV and Atletico Madrid are both keen to sign Lucumi from America de Cali, but Spurs are in pole position to complete a deal.
The report suggests that Spurs will announce the deal before the end of the transfer window and that Lucumi will be allowed to stay with his club until the end of the year.
However, Lucumi could struggle to obtain a work permit to appear for the Premier League side as he has not yet appeared in Colombia's senior squad.
Lucumi, who can operate on either wing, moved to America de Cali from Depor last year.
