Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly turned the chance to sign Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic on loan during the January transfer window.
Due to Harry Kane's severe hamstring injury being likely to keep him sidelined until at least April, Jose Mourinho has been attempting to bring in a replacement on a short-term basis.
After struggling during his opening six months at the Bernabeu, Jovic has been linked with a switch to a number of Premier League clubs, including Spurs.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Mourinho has decided to look elsewhere, rather than take a gamble on a player who has netted just once in all competitions this season.
Spurs have also been linked with AC Milan's Krzysztof Piatek and Real Sociedad's Willian Jose, although both players may only be available on permanent deals.
