Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly move for Barcelona striker Martin Braithwaite if Harry Kane leaves the club.
The England captain has now returned to Spurs' training complex following his holiday after being forced to deny reports claiming that he failed to show up for pre-season tests.
Kane is thought to be in contention to face admirers Manchester City on the opening weekend, with the Premier League champions supposedly 'convinced' that they can get a £150m deal for the 28-year-old over the line.
Should City's pursuit of Kane ultimately prove to be successful, Sport claims that the Lilywhites will consider a move for Braithwaite, who is also being eyed up by West Ham United.
The former Middlesbrough man joined Barcelona as an emergency signing in 2020 following injuries to Ousmane Dembele and Luis Suarez, but he only boasts eight goals from 53 appearances for the Catalan club.
However, Braithwaite reportedly remains undecided on his future as Barca seek to offload him, while Spurs are also rumoured to be eyeing Lautaro Martinez and Dusan Vlahovic in their striker search.
