Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly emerged as surprise contenders to sign Carlos Tevez as a free agent.
The 38-year-old has been without a club since being released by Boca Juniors in the summer of 2021 but has not retired from professional football just yet.
Tevez has been busy touring round Italian training grounds recently, with AC Milan, Inter Milan and former employers Juventus all welcoming him while he pans out his next career move.
Now, Corriere dello Sport - via The Sun - claims that Tevez also plans to visit Tottenham's training ground with a view to potentially returning to the Premier League.
The former Argentina international worked under Antonio Conte during the 2013-14 season at Juventus, registering 19 goals and seven assists in 34 Serie A games that year.
Tevez previously amassed 84 goals and 41 assists in 202 Premier League games across spells with Manchester City, Manchester United and West Ham United before Conte signed him for the Old Lady in 2013.
