Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Porto midfielder Hector Herrera when the January transfer window opens for business.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino decided against bringing any new players to the club during the summer window, which led to discontent among the supporters.
However, according to Calciomercato, Pochettino wants to improve his midfield options at the start of 2019 and has targeted a move for Herrera, who was in action for Mexico at the 2018 World Cup.
The 28-year-old, who is also said to be interesting Italian giants Roma, has made almost 200 appearances for Porto since a move from Pachuca in 2013.
Herrera could be a replacement for Mousa Dembele, with the Belgium midfielder widely expected to leave Tottenham in the winter transfer window.
