Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in a strong position for Mikkel Damsgaard despite suggestions that Juventus have joined the race for the Sampdoria attacker.
The 21-year-old enjoyed an impressive Euro 2020 campaign for Denmark, helping his country reach the semi-finals of the competition by scoring twice and providing one assist.
A number of clubs were linked with Damsgaard over the summer, but the transfer window closed with the attacker still at Sampdoria.
The Dane has made seven appearances for his Italian club at the start of the 2021-22 campaign, and a recent report claimed that Juventus were keen on signing him in 2022.
Spurs have also been linked with a move, and according to Tuttosport, the North London club are 'in the front row' for the versatile attacker.
The report claims that Tottenham's new director of football Fabio Paratici is a keen admirer of Damsgaard and wants to bring him to the English capital in the near future.
The former Nordsjaelland youngster has scored twice and registered four assists in 44 appearances for Sampdoria since arriving at the Italian club in February 2020.
